Congratulations to members who have recently won awards. Charisse Cox was recognized with Waypoint’s Women of Achievement Award and Liz Callahan for was named Magnet School Teacher of the Year! Your hard work and dedication are noticed and appreciated!
Para pay will increase on January 8, 2022! Starting wages will increase to $15.00 an hour, and current employees will increase to $15.50 per hour, or a 3% increase, whichever is larger. While we need to continue to advocate for more, we will celebrate this much-needed increase and hope that this will retain and attract more paras to CRCSD.
All three CREA recommended school board candidates were elected in November! Please congratulate Jennifer Borcherding, Nancy Humbles, and Marcy Roundtree on their elections. Having a school board that supports our teachers and our union is so important, and your votes and advocacy made it happen!
